Palestinian Vision Organization concluded a specialized comic production training with the participation of 19 adolescents from Jerusalem, as part of the “Numu” project, implemented in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and supported by the Government of Norway.
Over 30 training hours, participants explored the main stages of comic production, from developing ideas, building characters, and writing scripts to designing scenes and bringing them to life visually. The training emphasized hands-on practice and teamwork, allowing participants to apply what they learned in creative works that reflected their interests and perspectives.
Throughout the training, participants discussed topics and issues connected to adolescents’ lives and selected the stories they wanted to tell before developing them into complete visual narratives. The experience strengthened their skills in writing, storytelling, and design, while also encouraging collaboration, exchange of ideas, and teamwork.
By the end of the training, participants had produced five original comics, which they wrote, designed, and developed themselves, reflecting the diversity of their perspectives and their ability to transform ideas into creative works of their own.
