251 Parents Join Awareness Sessions to Strengthen Children’s Psychosocial and Educational Support

As part of the “Salalem” project, implemented by Palestinian Vision Organization in partnership with Save the Children, 12 awareness sessions were conducted with the participation of 251 parents across Jerusalem, Ramallah, Nablus, Tulkarm, Bethlehem, and Hebron, in cooperation with partner organizations.

The sessions focused on strengthening families’ ability to support their children both psychologically and educationally. Key topics included emotional release, positive parenting, building children’s self-confidence, and raising awareness of dyslexia. These sessions provided parents with practical knowledge and tools to better understand their children’s needs, respond to them effectively, and create a safe and encouraging home environment that supports learning and development.

The sessions form part of the “Salalem” project’s broader efforts to strengthen cooperation between families and schools and to reinforce the role of parents as active partners in their children’s education. This approach contributes to improving children’s academic performance, mental health, and overall well-being, while promoting a more inclusive and responsive learning environment.
