Palestinian Vision Organization conducted a specialized Training of Facilitators programme on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and Conflict Preparedness and Protection (CPP) under the “Himaya” project, funded by the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), in cooperation with the Palestinian Mine Action Centre (PMAC) and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The training brought together 50 school health staff members and educational counsellors from the Ministry’s targeted directorates. It aimed to qualify them to deliver awareness sessions in schools, helping students adopt safe behaviours when dealing with risks related to explosive ordnance and strengthening preparedness and protection measures. The training also contributes to improving the readiness of schools and communities to respond effectively during emergencies.
