Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of advocacy strategies for multiple projects.
- Cultivate and maintain a registered network of stakeholders at local, regional, and international levels, including Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), international donors, government representatives, and decision-makers;
- Plan, coordinate, and actively participate in local advocacy tours aimed at raising awareness and conducting lobbying efforts.
- Guide and train Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and youth on advocacy and campaign development to enhance their capacity and empower their role within the community. This involves designing and overseeing the implementation of campaigns, initiatives, and other advocacy activities.
- Manage advocacy activities within projects/programs in close collaboration with the programming team.
- Prepare position papers, policy papers, and periodic short-activity reports as needed for effective communication and reporting.
- Provide feedback and evaluation of advocacy-related activities, ensuring alignment with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plans and the strategic plan
Job Requirements
Academic and Professional Qualifications / Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in media, law, journalism, or a related field, accompanied by a deep understanding of advocacy and campaigning.
- Strong research skills.
- Excellent English and Arabic writing and speaking abilities.
- Previous involvement in NGO work.
- Demonstrated skills in effective communication and networking.
- Familiarity with participatory research methods, participation action and learning, and field data collection.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in advocacy.
- Proven track record of producing high-quality reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer proficiency, particularly in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
