The Palestinian Vision Organization concluded the “For Them” youth training program, which targeted 20 young men and women from the Jerusalem Governorate. The program aimed to empower participants to play an active role in protecting children’s rights and positively influencing decision-makers by raising awareness of both local and international legal frameworks, and by developing skills in advocacy, media documentation, and community initiative planning.
Throughout the training, participants gained hands-on experience in designing innovative rights-based campaigns and safe documentation practices. They also engaged with inspiring experiences in both local and international advocacy, including a session with representatives from Harak, a Palestinian youth group that shared their international advocacy experiences and meetings with decision-makers to present the realities faced by youth in Palestine. This exchange enriched participants’ perspectives and prepared them to represent Palestinian childhood issues in future international forums.
We look forward to witnessing the impact of these young leaders’ initiatives and their creative contributions to advancing children’s rights and fostering change.
This activity is part of the “Together We Can” project, implemented in partnership with War Child, the Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture, and the Human Rights and Democracy Media Center – SHAMS.
