In response to escalating agricultural challenges, the Palestinian Vision Organization implemented two agricultural initiatives in the towns of Battir and Al-Walaja as part of the “Juthoori” (My Roots) project. These initiatives aim to strengthen farmers’ resilience and promote genuine sustainability in the agricultural sector.
In Battir, five farmers received support through the installation of drip irrigation systems and the cultivation of thousands of medicinal seedlings. In addition, 30,000 seedlings were distributed to over 30 farmers to expand and diversify production while promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
In Al-Walaja, an abandoned agricultural well was rehabilitated and equipped with a modern pump, allowing for the reactivation of surrounding farmland and increased agricultural benefit.
Together, these projects represent a practical model of agricultural resilience, highlighting the importance of investing in infrastructure and technical support to advance Palestinian agriculture.
