Palestinian Vision, in partnership with Oxfam, concluded the Agri Tech Innovation and Youth Led Initiatives Training, with the participation of 17 young women and men aged 20 to 30 from diverse backgrounds, including farmers, computer science students, and information technology students.
Held over two weeks, with three training days each week, the program followed a practical and participatory approach that connected agricultural knowledge with technical expertise. The training included group learning, case studies, field visits, and practical discussions on agriculture in Palestine, smart farming, and engineering solutions that can support farmers.
Throughout the training, participants worked in multidisciplinary groups to analyze real agricultural challenges and turn them into technology based project ideas that can be further developed and applied. During the final presentations, each group presented its project to an evaluation committee and received technical feedback to strengthen the ideas and improve their readiness for implementation.
In the next phase, participants will continue developing their projects, leading to the selection and financial support of the most promising initiatives to test their solutions in the field in Jericho and the Jordan Valley.
This training comes as part of Palestinian Vision’s efforts, together with its partners, to empower young people to develop innovative productive solutions and strengthen their role in green economy and smart agriculture pathways in Palestine.
