The West Bethlehem Villages Cooperative Association for Agricultural Development is a Palestinian agricultural, productive, and development-oriented cooperative. It was established on 20 July 2011 through an initiative led by farmers from Wadi Fukin and neighbouring villages in Bethlehem Governorate. The association currently has 21 members.
Its work currently centres on the Green Valley Compost project, one of the association’s main ongoing initiatives. The project converts organic and agricultural waste into high-quality organic fertilizer, helping to reduce waste, improve soil fertility, support farmers, and advance sustainable agriculture and circular-economy practices.
The association is working to expand the project’s production capacity and diversify its products. Its future plans include producing vermicompost and liquid compost, as well as providing related agricultural and environmental services.
PalVision supported the project by providing specialized machinery and equipment for production and packaging. This increased its production capacity and strengthened the association’s ability to further develop and expand the initiative. PalVision also provided training in business development, green transformation, decent work, and marketing.
