Palestinian Vision Organization conducted five awareness sessions on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and Conflict Preparedness and Protection (CPP) in Khirbet Umm al-Khair and Khirbet al-Daqiqah in Masafer Yatta, reaching around 160 women and children. The sessions were implemented under the “Himaya” project, funded by the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) and carried out in cooperation with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The sessions focused on strengthening participants’ knowledge of safe behaviours and appropriate responses during emergencies, as part of PalVision’s efforts to reach communities facing heightened risks. They also included interactive and recreational activities for children, enabling them to engage with key awareness messages in simple and age-appropriate ways.
