STEM | Trainer’s Guide

This is a trainer’s guide under the “Nahj” project. It enables recent graduates (aged 18 to 26) to design and run interactive training for school students (aged 13 to 15) that brings together three areas: STEM skills (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), psychosocial support for adolescents, and 21st-century skills. The guide offers a complete 30-hour programme over 6 sessions of 5 hours each, using experiential learning, project and problem-based learning, design thinking, teamwork, and real-life scenarios from students’ own lives and surroundings.

It includes an introduction to the project, the target group and the objectives of each area (knowledge, attitudes and behaviour), and a practical explanation of why psychosocial support matters in training, especially for adolescents living under pressure. It also explains 21st-century skills and their link to the labour market and digital transformation. It contains a glossary for facilitators, detailed guidance on training and assessment methods (pre and post tests, daily feedback, and interactive quizzes such as Kahoot), and step-by-step daily activity plans (the aim, duration, materials and process of each activity), followed by annexes and references.
