Palestinian Vision Foundation held an expanded educational gathering that brought together female and male teachers from 25 public schools across Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Jerusalem, Tulkarm, and Nablus. The gathering was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and in partnership with Save the Children, within the framework of the Sallam Project.
The event aimed to broaden professional dialogue around the concepts of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and to facilitate the exchange of experiences among teachers from different governorates—drawing on their diverse field-based expertise to enrich educational practice. The gathering created an open professional space where participants shared insights and practical approaches, highlighting both successes and challenges faced in classrooms, with a particular focus on understanding students’ needs and supporting them within a safe, interactive learning environment.
The agenda included in-depth discussion sessions on the teacher’s role in strengthening students’ social skills and building positive relationships in the classroom. Teachers also exchanged practical, day-to-day strategies applied in schools. In addition, participants reflected on real experiences from the field, enabling a cross-pollination of perspectives and a deeper understanding of ways to support students in a more holistic manner.
The gathering concluded as a valuable opportunity to strengthen peer learning and enhance educational practices—contributing to improved student support and to fostering more engaging and positive learning environments.
