Greening Agritourism

Campaign Description

The “Greening Agritourism” campaign is launched to promote agritourism as a value-adding complement to traditional agriculture—not a replacement. Farmers continue cultivating and producing as usual, while offering simple visitor experiences on the farm—such as field tours, seasonal picking, product tastings, and direct sales from the source—helping farmers secure better returns while strengthening public appreciation for locally grown products.

The campaign highlights agritourism’s dual impact: protecting land and sustaining agriculture on one hand, and creating additional income and livelihood opportunities on the other—especially for youth and women within local rural economies. It also strengthens the connection between consumers and producers by bringing people closer to the story, origin, and value of Palestinian local produce.

Campaign Focus Areas

  • Raising awareness about land, farming, and local produce through accessible, story-driven content.

  • Introducing practical, farm-ready agritourism models tailored to seasons and farm realities.

  • Encouraging sustainable practices in farm management and visitor hosting that protect natural resources and improve the overall experience.

Target Groups

Farmers and farm owners, youth interested in green livelihood pathways, local visitors and families, and relevant community and educational stakeholders.
