Children Shape the Messages of “Akher Daw” Play on Their Rights

As part of efforts to strengthen children’s participation and amplify their voices through interactive arts, the play “Akher Daw” was implemented in partnership with Rasael Theatre at Arraba Development Association and the North West Jerusalem Women’s Association – Beit Hanina/Bir Nabala, with the participation of children enrolled in remedial education.

The play was the outcome of the Children’s Advisory Council meetings, during which children discussed their rights and identified key issues and rights they believe should be further promoted within their communities. Their ideas and recommendations formed the basis of the play’s script and messages, reflecting their concerns and aspirations through a creative and interactive approach, while highlighting the importance of involving children in expressing their views and advocating for their rights.
