As part of the “Salalem” project implemented by the Palestinian Vision Organization in partnership with Save the Children, a family chess tournament titled “My Father and I” was organized in the village of Duma, with the participation of 70 individuals forming 20 teams composed of children and their fathers.
The tournament was held under the supervision of the Duma Sports Club and the Palestinian Chess Federation and followed internationally recognized standards. The event fostered an engaging and joyful atmosphere for all participants.
Trophies were awarded to the top three teams, while 10 medals were distributed to children who scored the highest points. All participants were honored with certificates of appreciation.
The tournament aimed to strengthen family ties through shared play, create a safe and stimulating environment for children, enhance creative thinking, promote experience-sharing, and encourage active learning and participation.
