As part of the Salalem project, the Palestinian Vision Organization, in partnership with Save the Children, concluded a series of 15 awareness workshops for parents held in various locations under the theme “Foundations of the Educational Process.” The workshops aimed to strengthen parents’ knowledge and skills regarding their educational role and how they can support and enhance their children’s abilities and performance throughout the learning process. More than 300 mothers and fathers of school students from the governorates of Nablus, Tulkarem, and Jerusalem took part in the sessions.
The workshops focused on key issues related to the educational process and the vital role of parents in monitoring their children’s progress, improving their academic performance, and adopting effective teaching methods. They also addressed the importance of cooperation and communication between parents and school administrations to improve the overall learning environment, as well as strategies for integrating children with disabilities and those facing learning difficulties. Special attention was given to topics such as Irlen Syndrome, dyslexia, and the challenges they pose for children in the learning process.
It is worth noting that the implementation of these workshops was carried out in cooperation with partner grassroots organizations in the targeted areas, including: Qusra Charitable Association, Qusra Women’s Association, Retaj Association for Palestinian Women, Women’s Youth Committee Club, Bazzariya Women’s Charitable Association, Wasel Center for Youth Development, Kafr al-Labad Club, Tal Charitable Association, Abu Dis Youth Club, Qaffin Charitable Association for Education Support, Zeita Sports Club, Al-Dhahiriya Cooperative Association, Battir Sports Club, Barbala Association, and Sur Baher Women’s Association.
