PalVision, through the “Salalem” project and in partnership with Save the Children, has concluded a specialized training targeting selected university students, aimed at preparing them to contribute to remedial education sessions and individual support sessions for school students.
The training comes as part of the organization’s efforts to build the capacities of 25 university students and enable them to engage in delivering supportive educational interventions for 25 community based organizations across Ramallah, Jerusalem suburbs, Tulkarm, Nablus, Hebron, and Bethlehem. It also provides participants with valuable opportunities for volunteering and gaining practical field based experience.
The training focused on strengthening participants’ skills in managing one on one sessions with students and equipping them with more effective educational strategies within the learning environment, in a way that contributes to improving the quality and impact of the interventions provided.
It also addressed the principles of psychosocial support and mechanisms for applying them effectively with the targeted groups, in addition to introducing participants to referral pathways for students in need of further follow up or specialized support.
