As part of Palestinian Vision’s efforts to promote the psychosocial well-being of children and their families—especially fathers—Palestinian Vision implemented two “My Dad and I” football tournaments with partner community-based organizations in Tubas Governorate and in the suburbs of Jerusalem, under the “Education in the West Bank” project in partnership with Save the Children International.
The two tournaments brought together 200 children and 80 fathers, alongside representatives from partner community organizations. The activities provided a safe space that fostered positive interaction and strengthened healthy relationships between children and their caregivers.
The tournaments adopted a psychosocial approach that focused on enhancing father–child bonding and boosting children’s self-confidence. They also helped reinforce values of participation, fair play, and sportsmanship—contributing positively to children’s mental well-being and their ability to build balanced social relationships within their communities.
