PalVision Implements 312 Training Sessions to Empower Adolescents and Strengthen Their Community Participation

As part of the Youth Achievement Project, implemented by Palestinian Vision in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council, and aimed at empowering adolescents and young people while expanding their opportunities for participation and growth within their communities, 312 training sessions were delivered to 287 adolescent boys and girls aged 13 to 16 across Jenin, Tulkarm, Salfit, Hebron, and the Jerusalem suburbs.

These sessions focused on strengthening adolescents’ life skills and enhancing their personal and social capacities, enabling them to engage positively with their surroundings, make informed decisions, and contribute actively to their communities. The sessions also supported them in designing and leading community initiatives that reflect their needs and aspirations.

The training covered a range of interactive themes, including effective communication, teamwork, citizenship and participation, leadership, conflict resolution, values and empathy, critical thinking and decision making, stress management, negotiation skills, and future planning, in addition to concepts related to social responsibility, volunteerism, human rights, equality, and sustainable development.

Work is currently underway to implement 13 community initiatives led by the adolescents themselves, reflecting the project’s tangible impact in empowering them and strengthening their role as active partners in their communities.
