Palestinian Vision Organization organized an inclusive interactive day that brought together more than 250 children along with their families, with the aim of raising awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities and promoting their inclusion within the community.
The activity was implemented in cooperation with War Child, Bihimtakom Association for Persons with Disabilities, Biddu Women’s Club, Beit Surik Women’s Club, Teachers’ Village, Sunflower Association, Wadi al-Joz Charitable Association, Al-Eizariya Youth Club, and Qalandiya al-Balad Women’s Club, who all contributed to mobilizing children and organizing the event.
Held in the town of Biddu to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the activity included several movement-based, musical, and interactive stations, in addition to a specialized corner dedicated to raising awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities. Through this corner, children were introduced to sign language and the Braille reading system, and they also took part in an experiential activity simulating visual impairment by engaging in different tasks.
These activities helped enhance children’s understanding of the daily experiences of their peers with disabilities, encouraged a culture of inclusion, and contributed to providing a safe and supportive environment for children of all abilities.
