As part of its efforts to strengthen the administrative and financial capacities of community-based organizations partnering under the “Salalem” project, Palestinian Vision, in partnership with Save the Children, organized a training for the administrative boards of four partner organizations.
The training focused on safeguarding and protection policies, the responsibilities and roles of staff and board members in community-based organizations in applying these policies, as well as reporting and follow-up mechanisms.
It also addressed best practices in financial and administrative procedures related to the implementation of activities and projects, and explored ways to align these procedures with the needs and strategic plans of the partner organizations. In addition, the training covered mechanisms for translating institutional plans into financial budgets that correspond with planned activities and interventions.
The training was preceded by a needs assessment conducted by Palestinian Vision to better understand the capacities, resources, and needs of the partner organizations through a structured methodology linked to the realities of children’s education. Building on this assessment, Palestinian Vision aims to design responsive interventions and initiatives that address actual needs and help overcome challenges facing these organizations. This approach contributes to creating a more enabling environment for children, one that supports their educational, health, and psychosocial development, while also encouraging the active engagement of parents within this supportive environment.
Representatives from the following organizations participated in the training: Bal’a Students Welfare Charitable Association, Al-Awda Center for Childhood and Youth Rehabilitation, Duma Sports Club, and Ritaj Foundation for Palestinian Women.
