Palestinian Vision Organization signed agreements with 18 cooperatives from Nablus, Tulkarm, Jenin, and Tubas governorates to provide three-month paid training opportunities for 40 young women and men, strengthening their work readiness and prospects for employment.
The agreements were signed during an event hosted by the Nablus Businessmen Forum, attended by Minister of Labour Dr. Enas Al-Attari, Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas, Chairman of the Nablus Businessmen Forum Jihad Al-Banna, and Chairwoman of Palestinian Vision Organization Kholoud Al-Ahmad, alongside representatives of the participating cooperatives, partners, and other attendees.
Through the agreements, participating youth will receive paid, workplace-based training within the cooperatives, enabling them to develop practical skills, gain relevant professional experience, and strengthen their transition into employment.
Minister of Labour Dr. Enas Al-Attari emphasized that the agreements represent a practical model of partnership and coordination between governmental, national, and international institutions and the Palestinian cooperative movement.
Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas highlighted the importance of such initiatives in supporting young people and expanding their opportunities in the labour market. He also commended the partnership between the Ministry of Labour, Palestinian Vision Organization, supporting partners, and the cooperatives, and the practical training opportunities it creates for young people to build their capacities and access new professional pathways.
During the event, PalVision Project Manager Bassem Bani Shamsa presented an overview of the project, its objectives, and the approach to working with the cooperatives, before the agreements were formally signed with the participating organizations.
The project is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, with support from the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
