As part of its ongoing efforts to support the early childhood sector, the Palestinian Vision Organization has empowered 84 childcare supervisors (caregivers) working in nurseries across Jerusalem, Nablus, Hebron, and Bethlehem. Within the framework of the “Afaq” Project and in partnership with Save the Children, the organization delivered a series of intensive two-day training sessions in each governorate under the title “Fundamentals of Education.”
The trainings focused on strengthening supervisors’ skills in key areas, including teaching strategies, building and reinforcing the child–family relationship, designing daily routines linked to educational objectives, and understanding different aspects of child development. The sessions also covered preparing a stimulating learning environment, encouraging children to explore their surroundings, and developing facilitation skills.
These trainings serve as a foundational step for supervisors to lead four awareness workshops targeting mothers, with the aim of transferring knowledge and skills to support their children’s growth and development. The workshops also highlight the importance of environmental awareness and encourage mothers to instill sustainable values and environmental responsibility in their children from an early age.
