Green Pathways

PalVision, in partnership with Oxfam, is implementing the “Green Pathways” project in the Jordan Valley in the West Bank. The project aims to support the economic empowerment of young Palestinian women and men by building their life, management and technical skills in agribusiness and agritourism, in line with labour market needs. It has three main components:

1. Training, qualification and employment: An analytical study proposing solutions to close gaps in green and sustainable skills in TVET curricula, including climate action in agribusiness and agritourism. 60 young women and men aged 22 to 29 receive training in life, management and technical skills needed by the agribusiness and agritourism sectors. 30 of them will be employed in the private sector (10 each year), with PalVision covering 50% of their salary for 6 months and following up with employers to keep them in work.

2. Seed funding: 40 young women and men aged 22 to 35 are trained in project design, planning and development, smart farming techniques and green practices. The 15 best entrepreneurial projects will receive technical and financial support.

3. Advocacy: Youth-led advocacy campaigns based on community needs, to improve young people’s access to quality agricultural technical and vocational education and training, targeting 60 young women and men aged 16 to 22 with advocacy skills training.
