Under the “Atad” project, implemented by PalVision with funding from the Representative Office of Finland, the campaign “Creating Green Spaces in Al-Jalazone Camp” was launched to improve the environment and strengthen food security through sustainable, youth-led farming initiatives.
The paper highlights the environmental and living challenges facing camp residents, such as overcrowding, water shortages, weak infrastructure and shrinking institutional support. It also covers earlier initiatives, the campaign’s goals and expected results, and practical recommendations to strengthen its impact and sustainability.
It serves as a short reference for understanding life in the camp, documenting efforts for environmental change, and offering a vision for a greener, more self-reliant future in an environment under constant restrictions and pressure.
