Heritage from the Scent of the Soil

Inspired by the good soil that gives us bounty and love, this heritage initiative deepens students’ connection to their land and heritage. It aims to enrich their knowledge and culture and link them to the past, especially the threshing floor (al-baydar), a symbol of life, bounty and togetherness. In partnership with UNICEF, it organised a Palestinian Heritage Day at Beit Imrin Girls’ Secondary School. Students displayed traditional tools, clothes and food, and presented plays and performances with Palestinian folk songs, wearing the Palestinian thobe together with their teachers.
