Position: Project Coordinator
Location: Jerusalem (with field work)
Overall Objective:
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for effectively coordinating project plans, schedules, resources, and communications with partners to ensure the successful implementation of project activities. This includes managing time efficiently, fostering collaboration within the team and with partners, and executing all necessary procedures for activity preparation, documentation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with implementing agencies and beneficiaries to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
- Monitor project progress and prepare comprehensive reports on achievements.
- Manage logistical arrangements and transactions for planned activities, including obtaining necessary legal documentation such as contracts and agreements.
- Communicate with partners to define requirements, goals, and deadlines for activities.
- Organize procurement processes, including soliciting quotations, drafting contracts, and overseeing procurement management.
- Gather and maintain all required data and information according to the project’s monitoring and evaluation plan.
- Write periodic and monthly project reports, and conduct risk and opportunity analysis.
- Assist in gathering information for press releases as per the project’s media plan.
- Prepare project-related correspondence as needed.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during project implementation.
- Contribute to budget preparation for the project.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the role.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Social Services, Social Development, or related field.
Experience:
- Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience or Bachelor of Business Administration with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Skills:
- Strong teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English (written and verbal).
- Professional demeanor representing the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle diverse personalities and situations.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Demonstrated commitment to organizational values and ethical standards.
- Capacity to develop and interpret detailed plans and schedules.
- Accountability and familiarity with risk management and quality assurance systems.
- Holder of a Jerusalemite identity card.
