PalVision has started preparing to launch the second phase of Bridge Palestine Program. This project is implemented by PalVision and under the supervision of Welfare Association with support of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and the Palestinian businessmen. The lunching held a brief explanation about the planned process of Bridge Palestine Program for the next two years and clarify the polices/laws that will be followed by the program. Also, the launching introduced the methodology in how to move forward towards achieving the project’s objectives to pave the way for the students and their parents to part of the implementation process positively.
The program includes activities to ensure the increasing of the chance for the students to get enrolled into high level international universities and be able to study abroad. These activities include university guidance, advanced English language training, targeted training program and the preparation of international official examinations to enable them to meet the international universities requirements such as TOFEL, SAT, IELETS and others.
PalVision organization has set an action plan to implement the program two years, as a part of an integrated training course, in which they will provide the students with scientific/vocational training, and access to opportunities/scholarships at international universities.
Ahmad Hamo is the director of Bridge Palestine Program said: “the organization started the second phase of the program by organizing a summer camp for about 70 participants. The launching of the event is planned on Thursday and will continue for 18 days in Al-Arroub town in the Hebron district. In addition, the program will include a comprehensive series of training sessions in the field of vocational and academic guidance, English language training and an introduction to the international examination”.
It should be noted that the first year of the program started last May and 70 students out of 257 were qualified to continue the program activities for the next two years in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
In addition, it is noteworthy that the aim of Bridge Palestine program that was launched in 2005, is to improve the learning opportunities of outstanding and innovators students in the Palestinian community in order to help them join internationally and proven competence universities.
