Palestinian Vision Organization has conducted four awareness workshops for parents in Jerusalem Governorate as part of the “Numu” project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The project aims to empower Jerusalemite adolescents (aged 12–14) by enhancing their life, psychological, and physical skills. It also targets their parents through awareness sessions on positive parenting and effective ways of engaging with adolescents.
The workshops focused on raising parents’ awareness about the adolescent stage and the accompanying physical and psychological changes. The sessions aimed to strengthen parents’ ability to support their children through this sensitive developmental phase.
More than 90 women participated in these workshops, which included interactive discussions and guidance sessions on modern parenting practices, effective communication with children, and understanding the behavioral and emotional changes that adolescents experience during puberty.
These workshops are part of broader efforts to provide parents with the social and psychological support they need by equipping them with the tools and skills for balanced, informed caregiving. The ultimate goal is to foster a healthier psychological and physical environment for their children and to create a more supportive and understanding family dynamic.
