On Saturday, December 21, 2024, Palestinian Vision Organization, in collaboration with Palestine Ahliya University, Battir Sports Club, and the Danish Church Aid, organized an awareness tour highlighting the impacts of climate change on soil and agriculture, and the importance of preserving natural and agricultural heritage. The event brought together 50 university students for an enriching experience.
Supervised by the Palestine Heritage Trail, the journey began in Wadi al-Makhrour and concluded in the historic village of Battir. Participants had the unique opportunity to explore the biodiversity and natural heritage of the region, including its majestic mountain landscapes, while gaining insight into the geopolitical challenges facing these areas.
Students also learned about the historical landmarks in the region and discovered traditional farming techniques practiced by local farmers, contributing to the sustainability of agriculture.
This tour aimed to raise awareness among youth about environmental preservation, agricultural heritage, and natural resources, emphasizing their essential role in protecting national and cultural identity.
