Specialized Training for Caregivers under “Numu” Project to Promote Early Childhood Development

As part of the “Numu” project to promote early childhood development, the Palestinian Vision Organization, in partnership with Save the Children and the Ministry of Social Development, organized a specialized training for caregivers working in nurseries across the governorates of Jerusalem, Nablus, Hebron, and Bethlehem.

The training aimed to contribute to improving the quality of services provided to children from birth to three years old. It also sought to strengthen early childhood development efforts by empowering caregivers and enhancing effective partnerships between institutions supporting children in their early developmental stages and local community caregivers.

This initiative provided a space for knowledge-sharing and skill-building, enhancing the professional capacities of nursery caregivers. It supported their ongoing efforts to provide holistic care—health, psychological, and educational—that meets the developmental needs of children during this critical stage.

The training covered advanced pedagogical topics such as: foundations of growth-supportive care, motor and sensory development, positive communication techniques, and proper nutrition. The sessions also emphasized exchanging practical experiences and providing supportive tools to improve the educational environment in nurseries.

As a natural extension of this initiative, the trained caregivers will conduct awareness sessions with parents and other caregivers, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of the first years of a child’s life and the need to create a safe and supportive family environment that fosters healthy growth and development.

This training is part of a series of activities under the “Numu” project, which strives to build an inclusive and holistic environment for children.
